Pakistan and West Indies spinners set new record for most wickets in Test series in Multan

In the recently concluded Test series in Multan, spinners from both Pakistan and the West Indies set a new record for the most wickets taken in a Test series.
According to details, the spinners from both teams collectively took 69 wickets over the course of the two-Test series, setting a new record in the history of Test cricket.
West Indian spinner Jomel Warrican took 19 wickets in the series, while Pakistan’s Nauman Ali claimed 16 and Sajid Khan took 15 wickets. Additionally, Abrar Ahmed took 7 wickets, Gudakesh Motie also grabbed 7, and Sinclair took 5 wickets.
It is important to note that the previous record was set in 2022 during a two-Test series between West Indies and Sri Lanka, where spinners took 67 wickets. However, Pakistan and West Indies spinners have now broken that record.
In the second Test match, West Indies defeated Pakistan by 120 runs, levelling the series 1-1. This was the West Indies’ first Test win on Pakistani soil since 1990. Chasing a target of 254 runs, the host team was bowled out for 133.
